The oscilloscope has a 10.4" color TFT (thin film transistor) LCD touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Additional specifications include a rise time of 875ps and various triggering features. Four reference waveforms and six setups can be stored in the internal memory of the oscilloscope.
The WaveStream fast viewing mode provides brightness-graded intensity of waveforms with a decay time similar to an analog screen. The measurement parameters-up to six of which can be applied simultaneously-and math functions allow an in-depth analysis of waveforms. To aid debugging, the oscilloscope features a WaveScan search that detects runts, glitches or other anomalies in waveforms, a waveform sequence recorder that can capture and replay a sequence of up to 5,000 triggered events, and pass/fail mask testing that determines whether a signal is within the programmed settings. In addition to edge triggering, the unit has glitch, width, logic (pattern), TV (NTSC, PAL, SECAM, HDTV), runt, slew rate, interval, dropout, and qualified trigger capability (option dependent) for isolating a specific signal as well as a trigger holdoff function that stabilizes triggering on complex but repetitive waveforms. The high sample rate and deep memory enable long capture times for processing and displaying detailed waveforms even when measurement parameters and math functions are engaged.
